Anti-Partition Swadeshi and Boycott agitation in Bengal widened into all-India politics. At Calcutta in December 1906, the Congress under Dadabhai Naoroji adopted Swaraj or self-government as its goal. After the Simla Deputation, the All-India Muslim League was founded at Dhaka on 30 December 1906.
